Fifth Geographic Awareness Week and GISDay

Dear Prof Fenzhen Su and other commission members

Thanks for your attention in this matter.

As I selected as steering committee for 2020-2024 I would like to inform you that this is four years that we celebrate Geography awareness week and GISDay in the Ferdowsi University of Mashhad to prepare the situation for academics, government members and private companies to talk together in the northeast of Iran. During these years we had guests from Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Italy, and Japan too. Our conference is the only place in the Iran' northeast (Khorasan) which all GIScience related peoples, organizations and companies meet each other from this region ans all around the country.

For the fifth time, we decide to hold a virtual program in December 17th 2020 in cooperation with Iranian GIS and Remote Sensing Association. This virtual program will be a special platform for researchers, academics, students, innovators, scientists, and industry practitioners to get familiar with current research and developments, which is shaping a new world society.

It's my pleasure to ask your scientific cooperation and invite you for an online presentation about GIScience commission and any related topics.

I appreciate your support and thank you for considering what your role might be in helping this program.
