Storage Detail Report

Respected Carlos,

When we run report "Storage Detail" it shows the quantity of the same product in multiple lines (based on transactions or attribute instance etc) as in below picture

Can we get view of the same product in one consolidated line? Because having multiple lines make this report confusing and we can't get exact available quantity of a particular product in quick view. Please guide me how to get better view of this report or point if there is any other way to get Product Detail in consolidated lines.

because i think we can working together in this issue.

sometime use want view remain inventory by product, some time by product + asi, sometime by group.

because for speed, we should pre-calculate something.

for quick you can refer product info, use can see remain inventory at moment by locator and warehouse

current I spent time for fix error message and study about server to deploy my idempiere.

You can share idea. when i finish fix error message, i can return this issue.

Im not carlos... but i've been glad to be of service. Here is how I did it:

1. Inspect the print format and go to the tab corresponding to the fields.
2. Find the "Product" field

3. Click on the "Order By" checkbox. When this is done you will see the "Group By" checkbox become available.

4. Click on the "Group By" checkbox.

5. Find the "On Hand Quantity" field and in the section called calculation click on the "Is Sum" checkbox.

6. Run the report again making sure that you have cleared the cache.

7. In the header of the report you will see a checkbox called "Summary". Click on this checkbox and you will have the result you are asking for.

If your not happy with this solution you would have to created a new view such that the operation of summing over ASI is done by the query.

Hello, 

Your explanation is quite useful. 

But I have a question. I use Idempiere 2.0 and not using instances attributes, but in this inventory report products appear in multiple lines as having different instances of attributes. Do you know why it is so? 

Checking the database I think that at some point Idempiere created an instance of different attributes each time a product entered to warehouse and now no longer does. Was it a bug or I changed something for no longer does? How I can correct or remove all such instances without affecting the proper functioning of Idempiere?

If somebody knows details about this??

I follow your explanation and apply different things and finally got a better report. Detail is given below;

I selected only six items for my "Storage Detail" Report with the following setting

1.        Product

2.        Attribute Set Instance

·         Go to Format Item Tab-Check on Order By and Group By-Give value “1” in Record Sort No Field

3.        Available Quantity

·         Go to Format Item Tab-Check on “Calculate Sum”

4.       Reserved Quantity

·         Go to Format Item Tab-Check on “Calculate Sum”

5.        On Hand Quantity

·         Go to Format Item Tab-Check on “Calculate Sum”

6.        Ordered Quantity

·         Go to Format Item Tab-Check on “Calculate Sum”

These settings worked for my selected items and provided a better report. View the image below. And thanks for the help

Thanks for your reply. Currently I have got a better report for Storage Detail. I am not IT expert so its difficult for me to handle things technically or create new functionality. As you may know there is another issue in reports, we can't get the net receivable or payable balance of any business partner. I didn't find any report formate to view a T-Account for business partners with detail accounting where we can get net payable or receivable balance. I wish you Good Luck to first resolve your own issue "fix error message" than please guide me in easy steps how to get proper T-Account reporting for Business Partners as well as GL Accounts. Thank you
