Hi,

Seems the Plugins tab is not available from the About window (just tested in test.idempiere.org).

Did I miss something ?

Thanks,

It is now a form in the menu:
Plugin Manager

Hi,

So maybe we could add a kind of "deprecated" tag to the feature?

Maybe there are other things in this case?

wdyt ?

Hi Nicolas, it's not deprecated, it was just moved to the menu, easier permission control, declutter the About window.

Hi Carlos,

"deprecated" was (in my mind) the tab of About panel.
So, if you read https://wiki.idempiere.org/en/NF6.2_Manage_Plugins_WebUI, you'll never find the form.
Maybe just a phrase to indicate that it has been moved to a form?

And BTW, I've opened it and out 2 differences with Felix console (that may be improved):
 - add a filter, to be able to find one (or several) plugin (if I write, 'tgi', it will display all plugins with 'tgi' in the name)
 - state of fragments is "RESOLVED" whereas on Felix is "Fragment"

Yes, Nicolas, in my pending list is to edit that page mentioning it was moved and changing the screenshot, but I'll be happy if someone else can do it  :-)

About your ideas, yes, that's another of the advantages of moving it to a form, I think is easier to maintain and take ownership from other developers, as it was embedded in the About box it was difficult to evolve.

I have also in the list of ideas adding the install button from an uploaded file (as felix) or from an http URL.

Please feel free to add features to that form, as it is now is very basic.

Carlos Ruiz

Ticket https://idempiere.atlassian.net/browse/IDEMPIERE-4647 created with a first patch for filtering on name.
Maybe we should wait for those enhancements before updating wiki page (including screenshot)?

nb: first patch doesn't manage translations as I think we'll need others.
