Wanda POS = Stable (Openbravo POS + Unicenta POS + ActiveMQ + ERP(iDempiere) Integration)

Hello dear community,

as might know, Red1 came wit me to Cameroon and did a wonderful job to help us kick up with Idempiere that we have a number of our students now really contributing to the community. First we updated and are supporting the windows installer and now our BIG new baby has been born. A stable integration of Unicenta Pos  (a very stable and successful fork of Openbravo POS ) with idempiere using ActiveMQ. We extended the work done by Red1, where he integrated Openbravo POS with idempiere, his was more a proof of concept and now we have made a plugin to be able to synchronize all the information of a customer (address, phone, country, city, region, avatar(logo), ....). 

You can test the plugin by downloading from here: https://github.com/tatiotir/WandaPOS . To build and install, simply import the source code in Netbeans or eclipse like any other project. We will be happy to receive feedback and comments. Enjoy!

 I'm insterested with adempiere plugin provided by red1 since sometimes and I have made some extension.
 
 I want to Know whether your Plugin is able to export product with their attribute set  into the POS and bound it in Idempiere after Sync successfully. I did it by I got some problem with instance attribute set.

Thank you very much for your question, the answer to your question is a BIG YES! Red1's integration as I said in my last post was a proof of concept which required extension as you rightly said. Now the added advantage and the novelty of our work is not just the integration but the fact that we integrated with Unicenta which is a very stable fork of Openbravo with so many bug fixes. OK we however made some changes in the UI, upgraded the original code from Red1 which will  enable POS synchronisation with IDempiere. Now we can synchronise all the information for customers, products coming from iDempiere to WandaPOS and also synchronise Orders coming from WandaPOS to iDempiere. Thanks, have you taken a look at the source code which we published freely here: https://github.com/tatiotir/WandaPOS   To be very honest it took me and the students sometime to figure out this code and they are solely sponsored by me. What I propose is a solution for you is we negotiate and provide you some very affordable hours to walk you through the integration. this is to enable the students motivated and working on the improvements which will always be free. Is that something you can be looking at?

I have take a look in Product Queue Synch && Order Queue Sync Class in bred in src-erp package and I congrat you for having made a precision in import product and customers attribute. But I worked also in ProductAttributeSet caming from IDempiere and service & ressource assigment.

Hi Stanley,

I am glad to see your project Wanda POS. It is excellent fork of the uniCenta and  Openbravo POS. Also it is good application for extended iDempier ERP. But I have a good extended for Wanda POS. This is my project nordpos.mobi For example, I published source code of two mobile POS Back-Ends: Product Catalog for merchandiser and Restaurant Service for waiting stuff. I hope, this is interesting for you and community.

Thanks before for your very nice product. I follow your instruction and found a problem when synch data from activemq to Wanda Pos. Error message is "java.sql.SQLException: An attempt was made to put a data value of type 'java.lang.String' into a data value of type 'BLOB'."

It looks an error when converting product data. Maybe you have some clue for me. Thanks.

I found solution to avoid this error. I use mysql as database of Wanda Pos and finally I can synch between Wanda POS and Idempiere. Yesterday, I used database Derby and PostgreSQL,both db create error when synch. Thanks.

Thank you for the info. I've also exactly the same problem. It works on MySQL. I also has problems on iDempiere 2.1. I get this error on "Export to Products" menu: "** org.eclipse.core.runtime.CoreException: Plug-in cm.itkamer.wandapos-integration was unable to load class org.idempiere.process.Export2Queue."

It seems fine on iDempiere 2.0.

Hi Stanley, I am new to Idempiere 2.1, tried your POS last night. I faced some problems. I am using postgresql  

1. POS was unable  to connect to database on local network.

2 I used POS jar upload it in plugins, it is active.

   But when go to Menu, i cant see the list you showed in picture.

3 I unzip pre configured ActiveMQ in Utils.

   but when i start its saying unable to unloack any data in bin etc
