Good morning Dan, I've been having trouble loading repositories for a few days. In general, since you click on one of them from the list /index.php/repository/browse?page=4&sort=referenceCode&sortDir=asc until it opens, about 4 or 5 seconds pass, but there is one specifically, which consists of a multitude of funds, and that being logged in it takes a lot longer to load, sometimes the browser even times out. What could this be due to? Thanks in advance and greetings.

Hi Isabel,

One possibility is that the per-repository upload limit widget is slowing page load times when trying to calculate the available space against the limit amount. I don't know if it will help, but you could try setting this to unlimited (-1) for now.

In the upcoming 2.7 release, we will be adding a global setting to disable this widget on repository view pages, which should eliminate that particular issue. Without further testing I can't be 100% sure that this is the issue you are encountering, but I suspect it will help at the very least, if not fully resolve the issue.

You can see the related issue ticket here:

Hi Dan, thanks for the reply. I have tried what you have suggested but the problem persists, when opening the largest repository, most of the time the time exceeds the one supported by the browser and gives a timeout. I have changed the loading time to "Unlimited" but it remains the same. Can you think of another reason? Greetings.

Hi there,

I can't currently think of other elements that would be having such an impact on repository page load times.

There aren't any further workarounds I can think of either that will help, short of making a change in the code.

You could try commenting out the following line, to see if preventing the widget from loading will help resolve the issue:
One of our developers also said:

You could also stick a bare return; at the top of https://github.com/artefactual/atom/blob/qa/2.x/apps/qubit/modules/repository/actions/uploadLimitComponent.class.php#L23

Remember to clear the application cache and restart PHP-FPM before testing again. I would also recommend clearing your web browser cache as well.

As I mentioned, there should be a setting included in the 2.7 release to disable this without having to make local code modifications.

Hi again, the option to comment out the line that refers to uploadLimit in _contexMenu.php has not worked, although the second tip has worked. I have added the return; at the beginning of the execute method in uploadLimitComponent.class.php and now it goes like a bullet. Perhaps it was thanks to the two changes. Thank you so much for everything!!!

Good day,
Do some of you manage decentralized record centers with ATOM? What are the results?
Thanks a lot.
