Hi!

I need to import a lot of archival descriptions to ica-atom 1.3.2.

The first problem is a wrong in php. I'm using wampServer. Ica-atom don't recognize php in my computer. I thought a problem in route --> path (settings of windows- chanting the php to the library of wamp...), but I didn't found the fix.

The second problem is convert filemaker to csv; then csv to ica-atom. Could you send me a file with example or instructions to try to do the best.

Hi Alvaro,

First, I strongly recommend you look at AtoM 2 instead of ICA-AtoM 1.3.2. We are no longer developing or maintaining ICA-AtoM 1.x. AtoM 2 has all of the same underlying application code, is developed by the same team, and is released under the same open source license. However, it also has many bug fixes, security patches, and new features and enhancements, including a better search index for scalability and performance, a job scheduler for handling long-running tasks in the background, a new look and feel, and more. We have also rewritten all the documentation to improve it. Some links:

I would recommend searching our user forum for suggestions on working with WAMP - for example:

Be aware as well that both ICA-AtoM and AtoM 2 are designed to be installed on a server, not on a local computer. If you want to install a version of AtoM on your local laptop for testing and development, you might want to look at our Vagrant box - it is much easier to set up. Some resources:

We have slides as well that describe the data migration process, they might help you figure out how to do the mapping from your FileMaker exports to an AtoM compatible CSV:

I would recommend looking into OpenRefine - it is a tool we mention in the slides which we use at Artefactual to assist us in preparing data during a migration project. It is an open source application for dealing with data transformation and normalization, and it has a strong community behind it with many free resources. See:

You can find our CSV example templates on the wiki, here: https://wiki.accesstomemory.org/Resources/CSV_templates

Note that there are samples in the AtoM code as well, kept at: /lib/task/import/example.

Cheers,
