Further, I tried searching for your error message in the User forum, and the two results I saw that seemed most relevant were the following:
First, there is this thread about how Apache handles URL rewriting. Note that the .htaccess file sample shown in the response is old (from 2013, before AtoM 2.0 was released) so it may have changed, but this might give you ideas of where to begin looking:
You can look over other threads related to your error message for more ideas, but I suggest starting by looking at some of the installation guides, and making sure that you have all necessary PHP extensions and libraries installed.
