Ibtracs disruption

Hello,

We've been having issues since this morning to access
https://www.ncei.noaa.gov/data/international-best-track-archive-for-climate-stewardship-ibtracs/v04r01/access/netcdf/

Since at least 2025-12-29T01:11:12 UTC this morning we could not access
the directory, which returned a HTTP 503 error.

I contacted ncei....@noaa.gov which redirected me here, and they said
they have been experiencing issues since this morning.

Since then it seems that the situation has stabilized, the web server
seems to be accessible again but I do get some HTTP 500 from time to time.

Can you confirm that the issue is over, or almost over ?

Apparently there are still some issues, we got HTTP 503 errors when accessing the IBTrACS NetCDF data at 19:11, 20:11 and 21:11 GMT yesterday.

There have been a few more occurrences in the past weeks:

2025-12-30 12:11 GMT

2025-12-30 13:11 GMT

2026-01-13 19:11 GMT

2026-01-16 03:11 GMT

2026-01-16 13:11 GMT

2026-01-21 19:11 GMT

2026-01-21 20:11 GMT

2026-01-21 21:11 GMT

2026-01-21 22:11 GMT

Is this due to some maintenance activities?

FYI, there is once again an issue with the availability of the servers since yesterday around 14:00 UTC, trying to access IBTrACS NetCDF data returns HTTP 503 errors since then.
