Best working environment for IBAMR?

I am entirely new to IBAMR.

To avoid future problems, I would like to enquire what would be the best environment for IBAMR.

I am now using windows sub-system with ubuntu 18.04. Should I switch to a virtual machine instead? Does it matter at all which environment I use? I know that OpenFOAM got some preference but it is not instructed for IBAMR.

Hi ZL,

A lot of IBAMR users use WSL and it seems to work just fine. We don't require a virtual machine.

The principal developers all use Linux or macOS machines, so that is preferrable to WSL, but WSL should still work.

If WSL works, I would expect that WSL2 will too — let us know if you run into any trouble or need to make changes to get things working, and we can incorporate fixes.
