to IADS
good morning,
we acquire on-board communications through a pcm parameter (12 bit).
we take the audio output of the PC (realtek driver) and mix it into our intercom system.
For some reason that i don't know we hear the voice at times, clear but with peaks that interrupt it.
This both in real time and in playback.
The strange thing is that, running the playback on a 7.2 version the problem does not arise, the communications are clear and without the peaks.
could it be the new pc?

in the past we acquired the voice via the CVSD module of the L3 550 system and mixed it with the current intercom system. The audio was perfect (probably because filters and amplifiers weren't software).
now we have moved to a software decom and the only way we have to output the audio is to get it from the "audioplayer" object.

Has anyone encountered the same problem?
how did you solve it?

Thank you and good day

Natola Antonio

Hi Antonio-

So let me make sure I understand this.

  1. You are listening to CVSD on the IADS audio player under a current IADS release ( 9.2.4? ) but when you play it over the intercom it’s.. noisy? Or there are drop outs in the audio? ( Not sure what “peaks that interrupt it” mean.) And this is both in realtime and playback.
  2. But when you listen to the same data using the IADS audio play under an earlier IADS release ( 7.2. ), you don’t have any problems.

Can we get  a copy of that IADS data?

Thanks,

Kathy

Please also provide the configuration properties for the audio player you are using.  Also be sure that you are using the same settings in the two versions.  It is common that the Audio Player Properties need to be manually ‘tuned’ for quality.

Regards,

Mike
