Today on the grounds of the Methwick Assisted Living complex (my 97 y.o. Mom, not me) in NW Cedar Rapids, I stumbled upon a few Southbound birds:
     Yellow-rumped Warblers.  10
     Orange-crowned Warblers.  3
     Palm Warblers   2
     Nashville Warbler.  1
     Cape May Warbler.  1
     Black-and-White Warblers.  2
     Blue-headed Vireo  1
One of my better October efforts.

A vociferous Carolina Wren was heard
on the campus, which isn't a bad birding spot in general.
