This morning at sunrise, we had at least 48 Pine Siskins in the yard. They enjoy the upside down feeder with a 50-50 mix of fine sunflower chips and niger thistle, but it only has 8 ports. So a bunch were on the ground too, at other feeders and waiting in the trees. Social networking seems to be working.
We also have a single grackle visiting us, although I haven't seen it yet today.
