Western Grebe in Linn Co.

 There was a WESTERN GREBE at Pleasant Creek SRA  today. Scoped from the main boat ramps.

The bird was seen at 3:05 when you access the gate you walk back until the trail splits. I had just started on the left-hand side when I saw a little bird running around in the leaves and it flushed into some brush right next to the trail where the brush starts, and the grass ends very cooperative, mostly doing chips. Earlier it had been heard right near the gate repeatedly and then it disappeared. No one had seen it at that time including myself. Thanks again whoever found it. I think it was Kevin. Thanks for all the help from everybody. It does not appear to be in a hurry to leave , if you can get out tonight, that would be great. If not first thing in the morning God bless.
