Dear friends,
please send an appeal, as below or in your own words, for Artem Kolomiiets,
Ukrainian combat medic who has been held prisoner in Russia since May 2022,
tortured, and is seriously ill.
A combat medic is a medical professional
serving in the army and giving urgent treatment to the wounded.
Now he is being denied treatment for his own wounds, and tortured instead.
Thank you! --Guy and Tilly

Senior Sergeant Artem Kolomiiets was one of those captured at the end of the
epic, tragic siege of Ukrainians holding out in the steel factory at Mariupol
in 2022. He had been tending to the wounded. When captured, he was himself
wounded, with severe spine damage and a torn knee. He received no proper
treatment for these. Instead, has been tortured. He n ow has asthma and stomach
and duodenal ulcers. He has been in captivity for over 1000 days. Perm is deep
inside Russia, near the Ural mountains.
We are re-sending this appeal because (as Todd Schwarz has reminded us) some countries at present have no postal service to Russia.
You can still send the appeal the easy way - by email - to the Human Rights Commissioner
And you can take this chance to increase the effect by sending the sane to these two further email addresses given in Amnesty's Urgent Action:
Presumably they are other members of Russia's team of Human Rights Commissioners.
Let's do all we can for Artem, wounded rescuer of the wounded!
