To start with, give details. What hardware? What operating system?
Did it once work? What has changed? What haven't I thought of?

To start with, give details.  What hardware?  What operating system?
Did it once work?  What has changed?  What haven't I thought of?

From the screens, I'd guess WIndows 7 ou 10, but knowing which as well as if it is 32 or 64 bits could be useful. Also, I infer from the original post that Hugin used to work. Did something change just before it stopped working? Installing a new version of Hugin? A Windows update? How long between the last time Hugin worked the the first time it crashed?

Dear all,

I was stitching photos as always do (I've been using hugin since more than 2 years).
Last treated photos are enclosed. I was running the batch processors which is still working as does the lens calibration tool (I never used it).
Nothing special this time than previous ones, no major windows updates, and I was working on 2016 release. I installed 2017 but error occured the same.
I also tried to deinstall totally, then reinstall. Nothing changes, always this error message.
I found in another forum I should replace a file but I don't know how.
My system is windows 7 family (see enclosed)
Thank you for your help.... :-(...

When it worked before there is probably an invalid settings in the preferences. These settings are not removed during deinstallation.

The settings are stored in the registry. First try the attached 1-remove_fast_preview_settings.reg (download it and then double click on the downloaded file). This will remove only the settings of the fast preview window. Then try again to start Hugin.
If this does not help, try the second file 2-remove_hugin_settings.reg After a double-click it should remove all Hugin settings from the registry. (You will lose all your personal settings.) But after it Hugin should work again.
2-remove_hugin_settings.reg
1-remove_fast_preview_settings.reg

the 1- file worked perfectly !!! THANK YOU SO MUCH !!!
But, after a few trials It seems my computer is now working a lot more slowly than before applying the 1-Reg file.

Ah, so Windows still doesn't properly maintain its registry?

Maybe try running a registry cleaner on it?

I don't advise using registry cleaners. They do a little good, a little bad and the end result is random. And can't imagine how removing an obscure sub-key from the Hugin branch could trigger a general Windows effect.

Carine, does this happen only when Hugin is running?

Hugo is a bit slower than usual but the overall applications Are slower.
Usually it only goes really slow when i have opened at the same time chrome, hugin and lightroom. Now only 1 app seems To saturate thé RAM.

Carine,

If I am right, this should be getting off-topic. I suggest we continue to investigate your issue directly by mail and report back here if we find out this was related to Hugin.
