Hello,

I am not sure who to contact, so you are the winner 😀. Would you please forward it to the proper person?

I am using align_image_stack to align 30 images (30 focus-bracket images of a single subject) before using enfuse to make a focus-stacked image.

align_imge_stack command example:
align_image_stack -m -a ais_out PC*.JPG

The problem is that ONE of the 30 align-image pics (the 16th one) is "zoomed" enough to be noticeable and so the enfuse result is BAD.

I am running LinuxMint 19.2 which is reasonably up-to-date. It has hugin-tools version 2018.0.0+dfsg-1 I have also tried a later version (hugin-tools version 2019) and the zooming problem is worse!

enfuse example:
enfuse --exposure-weight=0 --saturation-weight=0 --contrast-weight=1 --hard-mask -o align_ew0_sw0_cw1.tif ais_*.tif

BTW, have made many nice focus-stacked photos using these 2 tools.

If I remove that ONE bad (zoomed) image, the enfuse result is fine, The JPG corresponding to the bad aligned image looks OK -- not unusual in any way.

If you are interested, I can ship you the originals and the aligned images.

I can also ship .pto files from the alignment process.
From the .pto file for the standard run -- compare line fo PC300160.JPG (the "bad" one) with the files before and after. "v" is 63.9 for PC300160.JPG while ALL the others have a value of about ~59.98

If you explicit activate the optimization of the hfov (-m switch), it is not surprising that the fov changes, but without the images it is difficult to give further advices. (3-5 images would be enough, not all 30 are needed).

Current version is 2019.2. There is no version 2019. But there was no changes to align_image_stack in the last versions. So this is a bit surprising.
