Anybody knows what is this about? This 64-bit windows installer was download from official site that redirected to sourceforge.The installer installs also Visual C++ Redistributable für Visual Studio, which Hugin (and also other programs) need.Microsoft recommends to install these files in the Windows folder so it is only installed once for several program. (But the installer takes care that the latest version is installed - e.g. when other program have already installed an old version.)So this is not "bizarre", it is normal.
I would really prefer a portable version of any sofware rather than Windows installer. Ever since they broke System Restore...
