Help! Hugin 2013.0.0 suddenly started crashing

I've been running Hugin successfully for quite a while on my Mac (OSX 10.6.8); this afternoon

I tried opening an old .pto file, at which point it crashed; and now it crashes whenever I try to

load any images, even into a new project.  I've restored all of the preferences files to yesterday's

backups, but it's still crashing.  If anyone can tell me what else to look for, I'd appreciate it!

Hi Kurt,

Hugin-2013.0.0 works on my 10.6.8 without problems.

Can you (instead of loading old prefs) delete the prefs? To do that,
open Preferences, and I think you need to press the "Load Defaults"
button in every tab.

Does that work?

Can you post that old .pto file that started all the trouble?

Did you try the latest pre-release of 2014.0.0

After letting my system rest overnight - and making *no* other changes - it started

I haven't tried the 2014 beta yet; I'm in the middle of a large group of panoramas from

a trip last spring and I'd like to keep everything the same until this is finished.  It's

on my to-do list - Hugin is fantastic, and it keeps getting better - but it's getting harder for

this old dog to learn new tricks (or, in this case, new user interfaces)...
