Hi all,

I am trying to get hugin latest packages for ubuntu 13.04 (raring) but the ppa is not being found for this distro.

http://ppa.launchpad.net/hugin/hugin-builds/ubuntu/dists/raring/main/binary-amd64/Packages  404  Not Found

Any idea if those packages will be available? Can I help with it?

Thanks,

Stefan Peter

Unfortunately, Launchpad refuses to accept packages when newer
versions are available. In the case of raring, hugin 2013.0~rc1 was
uploaded before 2012.0, so I don't see a possibility to fulfill your
request.

But If you really need 2012.0, I have the debs built and could offer
them for download somewhere else than on launchpad. Or you may take
the plunge and head over to the "next hugin builds" at
https://launchpad.net/~hugin/+archive/next
where you could download the aforementioned 2013.0~rc1 (which I will
update to ~rc2 as soon as time permits).

With kind regards

Stefan Peter

Do you need help with this? (in general, I mean). We all have limited time.

What would be the requirements for this? A working build environment, I guess. How much is done "manually" and how much is handled at launchpad?

No, thank you, I don't need any help. The packages actually exist and
have been built using a local pbuilder instance that should come very
close to the launchpad build facilities. I use these pbuilders for
testing all my builds prior to uploading them to launchpad.

However, I really recommend to give the 2013-rc1 a chance. It has the
new user interface, a couple of new tools and quite some problems
fixed. See
https://groups.google.com/d/msg/hugin-ptx/w2KEaadWtAc/1QZRWnhr1hoJ for
details.

With kind regards

Thank you Stefan!

I still didn't have time to test this or previous suggestions, but will do this sometime this week. Thank you all for the help.

Bests,
