I have an S50 and as a birthday gift to myself I was going to convert it to EQ.  When I looked up options I saw a lot of objects in the $70 and up.  I also found cheaper items on Amazon that looked like 3d printed wedges. Here is the link. Has anyone used any of these?

I feel like either I am going to buy something over priced but has a well known name or get a piece of junk.

Thanks.

Hi Jason,

I would not recommend anything you find on Amazon, specifically a cheaper eq wedge.

Even though the Seestar is pretty light weight, when you put it on an angle, you have to use a sturdy EQ wedge or you will introduce vibration.

I have fallen many times on the cheaper Amazon Astro products convenience but I end up buying the better product later on, so now I made it my rule to only buy things once buy buy the better quality things.

This is what I use. It's identical to the one that ZWO sells branded as Seestar and it's worked fine for me.
