Hello,

I want to migrate my Osirix MD database (Version 12.5.1) to Horos. I renamed the "OsiriX data" folder to "Horos data", but Horos doesn't seem to understand the Osirix MD database format. Has anyone had success migrating from Osirix MD version 12.5.1 to Horos?

Thank you for your help

Since no one with more knowledge has replied yet: I don't think this is possible - there are many differences between Horos and Osirix - for example the ROI format and I assume also the database schemas.
Have you tried simply exporting/importing? - that should take case of the images at least.  Which information/structures do you need ported apart from the DICOM data itself? Album structure or comments/ROIs?

Your best bet would be to re-import the DICOM files stored to OsiriX into Horos and let it manage building the database from the files. Horos has a much older version of the database schema used by OsiriX MD so it is not a simple migration. In Horos, import the files stored under "~/Documents/OsiriX Data/DATABASE.noindex". If there are a lot of files under that directory it may take a while.

If you need to preserve other data stored in your OsiriX MD database such as reports it will take more work.

I found a "solution". I opened Horos and Osirix MD on the same system and did a DICOm transfer with comments, ROIs etc. I was able to copy the whole database to Horos in steps, but it worked.
