Certain DICOMs not showing

Hi,

First of all thanks for the efforts put by the developers and the community of the HOROS project. It is great.

I'm facing an issue with files I've recently acquired - When I try to load a file it seems like there are no problems with that and I can see the data of that file, but for some reason no image is showing. I tried to open the file with different app (ITK-SNAP) and it did so without any problems. I've also open the file with pydicom and the pixel_array section seems to be normal (just a 512X512 numpy array).

I suspect that the file has missing tags that are required, but I can't figure out which ones.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Hi,

In the meta data viewer there's a DICOM validator. That should tell you about any non conformance problems.

Hi Soren,

The Meta-Data window doesn't open on these DICOMs.

Works great for any other DICOM.

You are sure the file is still at the original location? Just in case it was imported by link and the file is no longer present at the original location.

If that is not the problem, you could open the Mac console apple, filter on Horos, import the file and see if you see any error messages on import.

Next, I'd check with https://www.dclunie.com/dicom3tools/dciodvfy.html manually (since not working in Horos).

Hi Soren,

I did look into the console logs and found out that the SOPClassUID tag was incorrect.
Changing it fixed the problem.
