From cooling to heating under reflux [Q]

Maybe "with cooling or up to heating under reflux, preferably . . ."

 

The meaning seems to be "at any temperature from cooling up to reflux temperature", but is there a more concise way of putting this?

 

Again, suggestions very welcome.

Again, this depends on how literal you want to be, but I would probably write something like: The reaction can be performed under any conditions ranging from cooling to reflux, but preferably from 0 degrees C to 80 degrees C.

At least, that would be my first draft subject to further revision.

"under cooling to heating under reflux" would probably be the most
concise way, but "under conditions ranging from cooling to heating under
reflux" may be better stylistically. I would not say "at any
temperature...", as this would alter the meaning somewhat.
