07 DECEMBER
MAA SAYINGS...

Disciple: I perform Japa but my mind doesn’t become steady.

Mother: Whether the mind becomes steady or not, practise Japa. It will be nice if you can perform a certain number of Japa daily.
Shree Maa…

(Gospel of The Holy Mother - p. 315)

Om Namah Sri Bhagavate Ramakrishnaya!!!

--
May we follow the spiritual path shown by Sri Ramakrishna, Sri Sarada Devi and Swami Vivekananda to reach God, the goal of our lives, and by His power help others also in their struggle to reach Him.

Can we dentify and Create a group of Devotees-Teachers to plan a course as a Pilot Project for adapting some Life-skills to know and walk-the-talk towards good better Best...
a) Inspiring Students to be Committed to Kartavya-palan  b) Training of Teachers as Mentors c) Learning Mind management d) ....

Sub: Evolving programs on "Life Skills To Be & Make Mentors" as a part of B.Ed Courses and all Teacher Trainings to share:

Our Vision: Naitik Bharat for Viksit Bharat

Our Focus: Inner Governance for Ethics in work & Life.

GOI Mission: Reflect & Practice to be a Karma Yogi to Envision One World. One Family. One Future.

Our Mission – To Inspire Teachers to be Mentors & Inspire & Evaluate Youth for selfless commitment to ‘Kartvya-palan’.

Need for LIFE-SKILLS for Learning to manage our Mind to Walk-the-talk.

1. Our Role as Mentors of Society:

We must realize that we can teach various subjects and inspire values, morals, ethics etc., but ultimately, these have to be individually imbibed and assimilated; and growing up is the best time to imbibe it.

We and the young need to discuss and be convinced that our daily work itself becomes a path to Perfection through Fulfilment of all our duties; quality and excellence in whatever we do; and working for the good and well-being of all - the spirit of Karma Yoga, i.e. Duties/Work itself as worship. USP of India that is Bharat is that growing up was the time to imbibe commitment to Kartavya palan, Righteousness etc. so that we may Earn and Enjoy remaining on the path of Dharma,  Shreyas to walk-the-talk towards good, better Best.

2. Our role as Mentors is to help and inspire each individual parent, teacher, student to adopt some Life skills, self-development practices for self-reflection and practice to prepare the mind and build self-control, will power, concentration, discerning-intellect, Viveka, to Know & Walk-the-talk towards good, better, best!

3. We have created Content for P. Pt. Presentations, workshops, discussions, etc. and Articles and Blogs for Self-study & Reflections on the ideal of Karma Yoga, Worldview of ‘One Family’, Mind management, Life-work balance, etc. i.e. Inner Governance, Swadhyaya and Sadhna, Abhyasa yoga - Sadhana Sampatti to imbibe righteousness based on the Practical Vedanta and Karma yoga of Vivekananda, our National Youth Icon (as declared by GOI in 1985).

4. We’ve prepared and made presentations to NCERT, NIOS, RWA’s and schools on “To Be & Make Mentors”; “Evolving individual and Institutional Code of Ethics”, Mind management and Life skills to imbibe the spirit of commitment to values and our respective duties and the constitutional Fundamental Duties, etc. etc.

5. We feel that besides educating the young, we also need to impress upon the elders and leaders from govt. agencies, NGO’s etc. to help educate and train teachers To Be & Make Mentors.

6. As elders we must recognize that it is extremely hard to change the mind-set and develop strength to walk towards the higher, because it is the very nature of mind to rebel, to remain in its comfort zone, to move towards enjoyment!

7. Praxis: It is only thru ‘continuous practice’ and ‘focus on the newer, higher and better thought-actions’, that we can overcome our tendencies.

8. Somehow, we’ve to provide time, space, environment for self-reflection. Students can form themselves into Study-Circles and in consultation with parents and elders, select inspiring passages from various sources and use them to reflect, discuss, debate, question, seek clarifications – we need intellectual conviction in the power of selflessness!

9. We would like an opportunity to meet your team members to discuss and present our ideas to you and your team of facilitators to see how we can together create a pilot project to help us Learn To Be & Make Mentors.

10. We can then together take it up with other agencies including government so that Life skills to be and make Mentors may become an integral part of schooling and growing up and part of all education.
