ग्लोबल वार्मिंग आज पुरे विश्व के लिए एक भर बड़ी समस्या है । इसका अर्थ है विश्व के औसत तापमान में वृद्धि। हमारी धरती प्राकृतिक तौर पर सूर्य की किरणों से गर्मी प्राप्त करती है। ये किरणें वायुमंडल से होती हुईं धरती की सतह से टकराती हैं और फिर वहीं से परावर्तित होकर पुन: लौट जाती हैं। धरती का वायुमंडल कई गैसों से मिलकर बना है जिनमें कुछ ग्रीनहाउस गैसें भी शामिल हैं। इनमें से अधिकांश धरती के ऊपर एक प्रकार से एक प्राकृतिक लेयर बना लेती हैं। यह लेयर लौटती किरणों के एक हिस्से को रोक लेता है और इस प्रकार धरती के वातावरण को गर्म बनाए रखता है।

Global Warming समस्या का कारण
इस समस्या का सबसे बड़ा कारण हम मनुष्य ही है। हम जो भी काम करते है उससे कार्बन डाइऑक्साइड,मिथेन, नाइट्रोजन ऑक्साइड आदि ग्रीनहाउस गैसों की मात्रा दिन पर दिन बढ़ रही है जिसके कारण हमारे वातावरण का संतुलन बिगड़ रहा है। वाहनों और उद्योगो के धुएं से प्रदूषण में बढ़ोतरी हो रही है। वैज्ञानिको के अनुसार अगर ऐसा ही हाल रहा तो वो दिन दूर नही जब पहाड़ो पे बिछी बर्फ पिघल जाएगी,समुन्दर का जलस्तर काफी ऊपर आ जायेगा और पूरी दुनिया जनमगन हो जाएगी। और अगर ऐसा हुआ तोह ये किसी विश्व युद्ध से कम नही होगा।
Global Warming समस्या का समाधान
जैसा कि हर समस्या का समाधान भी होता है वैसा ही ग्लोबल वार्मिंग का भी समाधान है। हमारी आपसी समझ-बूझ और संसाधनों के समझदारी से उपयोग से यह संभव है। हमे अधिक से अधिक पेड़ पौधे लगाने चाहिए, वाहनों की संख्या को कम करना होगा, कारखानो से होने वाले प्रदूषण को कम करना होगा। इस प्रकार जन जागरूकता और आपसी सूझबूझ से ग्लोबल वार्मिंग की समस्या को समाप्त किया जा सकता है।
