Dear HeurisitcLab team,

I'm a beginner in heuristiclab.

I'm very grateful for your effort to make this software available for free.

Recently, I attempted to fix certain part of the symbolic tree according to known domain knowledge. I tried firstly via GUI operations, but I find this process is very complicated and inscrutable, for example, I can’t freely drop and drag the desired symbols in the tree view. Could you give me some suggestions or demos?

Moreover, I known the customized tree can be built by reprogramming the plugins, where can I get some tutorial files helpful to achieve my goal?

Thank you very much for your attention.

Best Regards, LeiGan.

Hello,

great idea!
There is a recent paper by Mohammad Asadzadeh, who used HeuristicLab for this.

You are right. Fixing parts of the structure via the GUI is currently inconvenient.
We are currently working on improving this, and have the functionality implemented (see https://dev.heuristiclab.com/trac.fcgi/ticket/3136). There a still a few things to be done, but we hope to merge the branch back to the trunk version before the end of the year.

Best, Gabriel
