Hi,

This is the release of v2.9.0.8-HL2 Beta 2 of Thetis for HL2.

It isn't a proper install but a zip of an install and can be placed in an different directory (I use C:\OpenHPSDR) so should allow the original release to still be used. Then just run Thetis.exe within your new directory.

If you haven't already done so, you first need to install the latest release of Thetis (x86 or x64 version) as it sets up things like skins and support for the new meter functionality. The link is

https://github.com/ramdor/Thetis-2.8.0

Please read the release instructions associated with the above release as there has been updates to resources which will affect some controls.

This release may require a reset of the database.

No warranty or guarantee, use at your own risk. It should use it's own database but do a backup of your current Thetis one just in case.

Cheers

Thanks Reid! A quick observation, I am not seeing the "Voice Squelch" or "Dark mode title bar for Win10 and later" options in BETA 2. Are the BETA 2 UI and options supposed to be the same as the main 2.9.0.8?

Hi Pez,

This is not all of what was in the official release of 2.9.0.8 from Richie. I have integrated it all for the next release but I would like to do a bit more testing on it.

I needed to put out this beta as the time limit on the old version was running out.

Cheers

Thanks for your great work on adapting Thetis to the HL2

Just a quick question,
do you happen to know the difference to the TAPR 2.10 release ? Change logs come out of fashion :-)
What I especially interested in is the fix for Pure Signal which should be in 2.10.

Hi Juergen,

Here's the details from the read.me

  • Updated Pure Signal to use full range of HL2 LNA
  • Updated Pure Signal to correct issue with Protocol 1
  • Fixed non linear issue with Power Control slider
  • Updated LPF selection to select highest band being received on either VFO

Hello Reid,

Thanks for the new release. I used your Thetis software last summer in the IOTA contest and YO DX and worked very well. Real joy to use.
My HL2 is at my holiday QTH, so not with me atm to test and I was wondering about a couple of features:
 - SO2V operation in CW had a bug in TX. Not sure if this has been fixed in the releases done in the last year.
 - I was wondering if Thetis supports remote operation for CW and where this is documented (another area of interest here)

I will have a go at the latest version over the coming weeks.

Cheers

There are options if you check back through the the chat history. Maybe somebody will jump in with their experience.

Reid

So far no blowouts with PS on this release and power is smoother.

Thank you for your work.

Thanks Reid.

I was referring to the issue in the post below. I am hoping that the 'base' software has fixed it.

I will do some 'research' on the Thetis remote capabilities for CW.

Cheers
