This is the release v2.10.0.0-HL2 Beta 2 of Thetis for HL2.

- Updated tune slider to give more control at lower power settings.

It isn't a proper install but a zip of an install and can be placed in an different directory (I use C:\OpenHPSDR) so should allow the original release to still be used. Then just run Thetis.exe within your new directory.

If you haven't already done so, you first need to install the latest release of Thetis (x86 or x64 version) as it sets up things like skins and support for the new meter functionality. The link is

https://github.com/ramdor/Thetis-2.9.0/releases/tag/v2.10.0.0

Please read the release instructions associated with the above release as there has been updates to resources which will affect some controls.

This release may require a reset of the database.

No warranty or guarantee, use at your own risk. It should use it's own database but do a backup of your current Thetis one just in case.

Cheers

Is there a list of the changes for this release from the OpenHPSDR group? I have yet to find one and reading commit comments is less that helpful.

Hi John,

There is a community list at https://community.apache-labs.com/viewforum.php?f=9 which has details on the latest releases.

Reid,

I seen that Ramdor has also put out a recent update. Did he adopt any of the HL2 2 modifications like the filter board and the auto RX ATT and Ip stuff letting us use the HL2 remotely?

Thank you!

Hi Mike,

Richie (Ramdor) just does, what I call, official Thetis releases which are only for the Anan series of transceivers. He is aware of my releases and does incorporate some fixes I find that affects the over all Thetis stability.

Thanks for this info as it will certainly help with tuning and low drive amps.

Any possibilities for the actual Drive Power slider to be placed lower than the -7.5 as well?
Without  lowering the PA numbers to reach the 5W max

Hi Rick,

The drive power sliders normally control the physical attenuator in the modem chip. The Tune control had a problem in that there was no way to adjust its generated level. I have now incorporated a level control into the slider, such that going below 7.5 dB reduces the signal level and this can be seen in the display.

With the normal power level, you have control of the power with the Mic gain control, so the power out can be adjusted using that control. Adding something to the Power slider would just cause an interact with two separate controls and get confusing to what was controlling the power level.

For reference, the two tone has it's own power control/ level control in Setup|Tests|Two Tone Test. It hasn't been HL2'ed, so doesn't show power levels in dB.

Cheers
