The HL2 printed circuit boards from Makerfabs come fully assembled and tested.  However the case comes separately.  To mount the circuit boards inside the case, one needs to drill one hole, and screw things together, etc.  Please read the detailed instructions on the web sites to make sure you don't put things in backwards:

Hi Llan,

As others may have already mentioned, please see:

The recommended and readily available filter board for the HL2 is the N2ADR filter companion board:

This board works well for the HL2 and requires half the number of relays (and PCB space) and simpler filters than a ALEX-like filter. It is not a bandpass filter per band(s), but is instead a LPF and an AM-blocking switchable HPF. Our early experiments showed that this filter was inexpensive, compact, allowed for skimming of all HF bands at the same time, yet did not overload the ADC given the AM HPF even at more active QTHs.

Hi Ilan,

It’s a module-kit. You have to mount the PCB in a box and make some connections, provide thermal connection for final transistor and maybe adjust some coil windings. Other than that, it is mostly plug and play.

Welcome to fun and good luck.
