Just received my Hermes and am trying it out.
I don't hear any sound from the headphones.
I can hear music and windows sound effects.

Also, don't understand message in yellow in upper right -
"Tx Profile modified, Save Profile to store."
Is that different than the Apply send Save buttons.

see attached jpg. for my configuration.

Hi Patrick

I am presuming you have you're headphones plugged into the PC that is running Thetis ?
If so, and looking at your screen shot then you need to need to set up virtual audio cables to route the sound between the HL2 and Windows.

As for the yellow message top right then if you go onto the transmit tab, this where you can save the TX profile.
While on that page there is a useful option at the bottom of the page
"Highlight TX Profile Save Items"
If you enable the check box it will then highlight all options that are included with the TX profile you are working on.

Enjoy your new toy, they are amazing.

not sure what you mean by:
"... set up virtual audio cables to route the sound between the HL2 and Windows."

Xan someone share what they have for the circled values.

Hi Patrick

Sorry I did give you a bit of duff info re the virtual audio , this is only required if using digital modes.
Hadn't had my first coffee when I replied.
Anyway if you can click on the drop down next to output it should show a list, screen shot that list and post it. I may be able to tell you which one to choose.

just to be sure: You know the jack in the HL2
(which should be marked KEY+PTT) is *no* audio jack?

Here is my output dropdown menu.

I have nothing plugged into the Hermes Lite KEY/PTT jack.

I have my headphones plugged into my PC's audio jack and can hear music play thru the headphones.

Try the other options like MME and devices Primary Sound Driver which would use what you have for set for system default audio.

I use Microsoft Sound Mapper - output. I am on Windows 11. Then you must select headphones in the windows sound settings. On Win 10, you open the sound settings and go to the playback tab to set the default device. Same Microsoft Sund Mapper - Output.

Hi Patrick

From your screen shot have you tried the Headphones(Cirrus Logic) instead of Primary Sound ?

I have tried every combination of the Driver, Input and Output.
The question I now have is, what do I need to do after making a change?
Is clicking on the Apply button sufficient, or do I need to press the OK button as well?
I think I have pressed Apply and OK everytime I made a change.
Do I need to power cycle Thetis or shutdown the application and then relaunch it?

Morning Patrick

Changing the driver/input or output takes effect immediately.
No need to to power cycle anything.

Thanks all for the suggestions. All of a sudden audio started working.
I was sure I had tried the working settings, but apparently not.
