I'm looking for an attenuator/coupler for my HL2 SPE Expert 1.3K-FA combination.

Assuming I can figure out how to hook the control circuitry from the HL2 to the amplifier, I'm thinking I'd like to use Pure Signal with the amplifier.

I'm confident I can hook up the amplifier to follow the PC controlling the HL2. I've learned a lot about that from Bob N6TV and with his S-Box hooked to my PC and FTdx-3000, I've been able to switch between PC control of the amplifier and radio control of the amplifier, but for the HL2 it will be PC control only, so perhaps a simpler control configuration if I can figure out how to make up a cable.

Still need the Pure Signal coupler, so any help there appreciated.

The easiest way to automatically switch the low-pass filters on your SPE is to use a 10usd USB/RS232 adapter. In Thetis you can select a corresponding CAT port for this if the virtual Com Port driver for the USB/RS adapter has been successfully installed. A two-wire connection from TX on the adapter side to RX on the SPE side is then sufficient (everything is described in DETAIL in the manual) and of course ground/ground. For pre-destortion I have been using the coupler from DC6NY for over 10 years. You can find the circuit diagram via Google. You can leave out the relay. You don't need it. Otherwise the coupler is sufficiently linear and the attenuation can be flexibly adjusted. Material may cost 10-15 bucks.
