So, I've been running my HL2 (bought from Makerfabs) with the IO board for a few months now, but I only just now realized that you were supposed to solder three additional pins to the HL2 main board for the IO Board (as described here: https://github.com/jimahlstrom/HL2IOBoard). I had only been using the IO board for puresignal, so I hadn't really noticed.

So I soldered on the three headers, and now I can't connect to it anymore. When the ethernet is disconnected, D2 is solid,  but when I plug in the ethernet, D2 through D5 turn off (but the ethernet lights turn on). Although I have seen D5 come on a few times when testing it before, I can't consistently get it to come on.

So, was I supposed to solder those headers on?

Not likely related.  More likely a setting was waiting and turning it off revealed it.
