Hello.   This is Jon Abel AE0YF.

I am attempting to build an antenna for charge wave detection down to sub-Hertz, and was looking for a good SDR for the work.

TRX-DUO appeared to be a good candidate for awhile, until I realized there was only 1 guy that had hacked the board to add an external clock.  And, that involved paying someone to print a PCB, populate it, and solder it into the SDR.    Plus the clock was 125 Mhz.

All my other equipment is 10 Mhz, including signal generator and other SDRs.
So, I'm looking at the Hermes Lite 2.0 now.

Just wondering if there is any updated information about latest firmware, or any news on new models that might be coming down the pipeline.

Can anyone help a newcomer?

Hi Jon,

Can you tell us more about your goal of charge wave detection?
I have only heard of it in conjunction with gravity waves, but I assume you’re not looking for those?

Tell us the nature of your setup and the signal you’re looking for and someone should be able to help.
