Good morning,

I have a question related to the use of the an @VGR command  at the end of an orderstring. We are using a patient status order and it is set to once per patient. When that order is placed in an orderstring befoer the @VGR=someform command, the dialog that says "Warning! May only be ordered once per patient" does not display, but it still does not place the duplicate order(which would be correct). When not lauching a sequential iform, the warning displays correctly.

Anyone seen this before and have a workaround?

Thanks,

Michael

I never use the @VGR command as part of a larger order string. I suggest always loading VGRs like so:

EDIT,LOAD_ORDER,,,,"@LOAD_ORDER=OIS=12006152@VGR=mygreatiform"

The OIS is for the RETURN order, which isn't listed in toolkit. You'll have to have a db management tool to look it up in the O_ITEM table (don't use the EMPTY order, it can cause weirdness is it's the only the only thing to be ordered)

You can queue up as many VGRs as you want using this syntax

Either way, it prevents the warning from displaying. Dr. Pratt suggested I use VGR to display a warning before processing, which is where I will be heading. Thanks for the reply.
