Super short meeting tonight with only three in attendance.

Reopening plans:
Slow and safe. No classes or open hours, and limited hosting by request. We'll use other spaces (library, arts center, etc.) as a guide, and try to be smart about it.

PPE:
All HSL equipment has been returned in same/better condition. We're winding down the operation, and looking at just over 4700 face shields delivered. Thanks to everyone for your support!

CNC:
I have a line on a CNC equipment donation; passed along to Darrell to evaluate.

Just for those that aren't City of Mesa residents and didn't get the general memo. Mesa shut down parks and rec, libraries and art center, plus a couple of other departments till Oct 1st. The length of time had to do more with monetary matters than any science or diseases control.

If there is a desire to open before then, then we should be looking at libraries and arts centers of other near by cities.

FYI on that, the City is slowly lifting that. The monetary factor was mostly the fact that it takes several months to hire, train and ramp up the summer seasonal parks staff, and the window pretty much passed to do that for this summer. But they're working on limited opening now for reservation swim sessions at some pools. Library is staying closed, but opened to drive-up book checkout. Museums and MAC are staying closed until the 10 person crowd limit is lifted/safe to lift.

Good to know it's financial.  Arizona Science Center says that they're going to plan to open on April 6, so ... crap... um.... ok, maybe they don't know either.  :)

Thanks so much for sharing.  I am pretty confident there will be no "Mesa Facilities are Open" Day coming anytime soon.

We should continue to plan for ways to use the lab in its current limited capacity, and I personally think it will be this way until 2021.

I know I have been a cheerleader for getting the lab opened sooner, but I don't see anything significant changing.
