We have a very busy Saturday upcoming at HSL! Of course, we have HYH at 10:00. There are two important proposals that are eligible for vote -- reducing card access from 6 to 2 months and establishing a formal board handover procedure. Notes in progress here.

At 2:00, 3:00 and 4:00 Eric Ose will be teaching his Solder A Robot class. Registration here ($10).

At 5:00 we get to play with the new Sublimation Printer!!! Donna has asked that registrations be closed by tomorrow because she has prep to do so if you plan on attending please register here ($10) ASAP.

On a personal note, Sofia and I plan on attending all of the shenanigans -- my soldering skills have gotten a bit rusty and we're pumped about the new printer -- and we hope to see you there!

Brett

PS - Friendsgiving is a LOCK for Friday 11/28 @ 1:00. Everyone is invited. You don't need to be a member to attend. Bring your Thanksgiving leftovers and come hang out with us instead of spending too much money on stuff you probably don't need (or spend money on stuff you don't need and THEN come hang out with us - we won't judge... too much 😉)

Also this one:

https://groups.google.com/g/heatsynclabs/c/YjRBC5EUdXw

It changes proposals requirements from a 30 day notice to a 9 day notice.  Before the changes earlier this year, we had no requirements for any proposals listed in the bylaws.

Antonio, I believe technically yes but my understanding is that the proposer is the one that ultimately decides the timing, so we can let it bake for a bit.

Luis, thanks for reminding me/us. That one totally slipped off my radar, not intentionally, just got lost in the flurry. I’ll add that to the notes, it’s an important one.

actually I apparently had forgotten we already passed the change back on May 22nd!
It was just never updated in the bylaws.  We dont need to vote on it, we just need the bylaws updated:    https://groups.google.com/g/heatsynclabs/c/bDVwvXEhYJk/m/UyMtZopBFwAJ

I am glad that the membership had a chance to vote for it.
The final step before going into the bylaws would have been a vote from the sitting board as they are still the responsible party. I was no longer on the board at this point so I do not know if they met and had a vote or not.
