Hey, guys. It would seem the survey was very unpopular. I will still post its results, since I cannot hide the info, but I am sorry for doing it a negative way.

I have been on the board for eight years. More than a fifth of my life. I was champion for three years, secretary for one and treasurer for the rest. I have never been thanked or appreciated, like most people on the board. I never took credit for things and just tried to do my best. I begged for people to run for the last two years while I'm dealing with cancer. This last time, I was bedridden, unable to walk and asked people to run. No one did.

I am now asking again for someone to come forward. I am leaving in three months. I will not run again no matter what. I would like to help someone transition more fully so they can hit the ground running come October. It's a big position, but it's really not too bad if you automate some stuff and if you're not dying, lol. I will be there the whole time to help you transition.

Please just be someone newer or someone who hasn't been on the board recently. I think we need a bit of a fresh start. It also shouldn't be on people who have given everything over and over. But no matter who you are, I will happily give you all the information that you need to continue the job, and what you need to do better than I did.

Thanks for your attention to this matter (just kidding, lol)

Thanks for everything you have done for the lab throughout the years. It is thankless, and it is also appreciated.

I agree with you that it probably is time for someone new to step into your shoes, even though they will be hard to fill.

A reminder that the bylaws allow for two people to share the position of
Finance, it doesn't all have to fall on one person.

Hi Shaundra!

As I understand it I can't formally propose myself to be running for the board unless my card access get's approved, however, whether it does or not I'd love to start helping out and learning the ropes. My day job is working with financial ledgers, and I've spent about 10 years working on building financial systems, payments operations, and accounting so I'm hoping I'll be able to get up to speed quickly. If that sounds good to you, let me know and we can start talking about where we can start.

Thanks!

Thanks, Mike. You're very kind.

Justin, that's plenty of time. I'm delighted for anyone with such enthusiasm. Let me know when you'd like to start.

Unfortunately it's virtual, but we'll make the most of it.
