Proposal: Card access for Jay McGavren

Jay has been around the lab for more than a decade.  He's also run events in the past and is an all around great guy.

Let's get him 24/7 access to the place.

It has been brought to my attention that this would normally come to a vote on Thursday October 9th, and unfortunately I will be out of town that day.

Could we postpone this vote until Saturday October 25th (10am), when I can be there?

So I just learned I'm not eligible. It looks like on March 21, https://wiki.heatsynclabs.org/wiki/Bylaws was amended...

To become a card holder, someone "Must be a paying member at the $50 or higher level, in good standing, for a minimum of six (6) months Must attend HYH, or during public hours, so the community can be introduced to the individual"

I only just joined the $50 tier. So this is a moot point for the next 6 months.

If I'd known I would have been working before now to meet the criteria. But it is what it is.

That is unfortunate.  I forgot about that restriction. It was added to the bylaws before we passed a proposal requiring an HYH for bylaw changes.

Well, it sounds (from that very discussion thread) like there is a solution regarding the bylaws: a proposal and an HYH vote. I will trust in the process!

Chiming in late, I 100%  support jay's eventual card nomination. I feel hes a huge asset to the lab and brings a great deal of positive energy and spirit.
