Hey Michael,

That's great!  I'm definitely going to read through that a couple of times today.

I think there's been a couple of us waiting for someone smart enough to tackle behavior trees + groot to do something interesting and you did not disappoint.  :-)

Just like there's been a couple people waiting for someone dumb enough to try to tackle RL + gr00t to do something interesting and I'm just that guy.  :-(

Hey, are you planning on joining us next month for the Can-Do Challenge?
We can accommodate remote contestants as long as our judge can tell you where to put the can before each run.

I won’t join physically, though I hope to get down there some time. I’m really impressed with the quality of production of your meetings as well as the quality of content. You guys really rock with your meetings.

Otherwise, I still have a bit of a way to go to get from simulation to real hardware, but mostly in that I need to go from my "testicle twister" end effector to something that will open wide enough to grip a can and a wrist joint. Now if you have a duplicate of your robot sitting around that you want to sell for $20 ‘Murican, let me know. That bot has me drooling — especially with the stereo headset. I’m hoping you will make it easy for me to get to gr00t and you’ll give a talk on that visualization and control system of yours. I’ve tried a couple of times to get to Isaac but the hardware barrier is an issue and then there’s learning “yet another” robot framework.

There’s just two things keeping me from world domination using your approach: money and mortality.

Look for another paper soon about my behavior tree version 2 design and a writeup on how to design a tree, though I use a lot of stuff from Peter Ogren’s excellent YouTube videos. And now I’ve found another 4 or so YouTube channels with good stuff.
