Hey all!

Last night I did a nearly six hour stream on figuring out how to get micro-ROS compiled for the RP2350 / Pi Pico 2, integrated with FreeRTOS, and then rework the codebase for the chassis control board for my 2 wheel differential drive robot, Stinger to use it. I then managed to get it publishing laser scans from an XV-11 LiDAR in a way that I could see the laser scans on RViz2 on my workstation, even though the Pi Pico 2 is attached to the Pi 5 in the robot.

I'll be condensing it into a blog post at some point, but here's the stream!

Hey man, looks good.  Thanks!

Micro-ROS + FreeRTOS + RP2350 sounds like an amazing combo.

I've been working with micro-ros + freertos for Alfie and the Waveshare general driver board through vscode platformio.

Oh, and you may want to change your wifi password.  Just sayin'.  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
