Hi

Please could someone explain how the open source and enterprise licensing works?

I downloaded and installed the management centre and it said that it could only connect to 2 nodes before you needed a license.

Does the open source hazelcast distribution only allow 2 nodes to cluster or is this just a restriction of the management centre?

HI James,

No the Hazelcast core has no limitation with open source licensing. There is no limitation in number of nodes, RAM, CPU or whatever but the Management Center is restricted to two nodes only without enterprise license. So if you want to manage / monitor a bigger cluster you need an ManagementCenter Enterprise license.

I hope that answers your question.

Chris
