BTW, this Monday the 14th is the relaunch of the GGRO paused season.  If you can make it put on all of your GGRO gear and head on up . I won't be able to make but it should be a fun day.

Banding is still closed for the season, with no promises to open in 2025.  No Allen.  No Teresa.  The interns, who signed up knowing they would get a lot of experience with banding, will not.  One of them (maybe both by now) banded elsewhere once.  Rose, the new hawkwatch manager, had only 1 1/2 months with Allen before the shutdown.  She is very good but there is no one to mentor her.  There is one other completely new staff person plus 2 prior Biotechs who do know their way around. 

There will be a celebration on the hill in conjunction with the 40th Anniversary sometime around Oct 18.

On Monday we are inviting the person who wrote the article for SF Gate.  We learned more from her brief article than we have from the Conservancy or the Park Service.
