deleting unused projects

To completely remove an unused project is it enough to just remove the project's dir/file tree ?
Or is there a way to remove a project using stack (just in case there is other things that need to be done)?

I think if you remove the project and run stack clean --full you will clean up .stack-work but it's not needed as far as I know
