SPECIAL SESSIONS
------
HASCA 2019 will hold two special sessions on the following two challenges.
*SHL CHALLENGE
After the last year’s success, the Sussex-Huawei Locomotion Dataset will be again used in an activity recognition challenge with results to be presented at HASCA 2019. To be part of the final ranking, participants will be required to submit a detailed paper to the HASCA workshop. The paper should contain technical description of the processing pipeline, the algorithms and the results achieved during the development/training phase. The paper submission date will be set during the competition. The submissions must follow the HASCA format (up to 10 pages).
*The Nurse Care Activity Recognition Challenge (TBD)
To encourage research in different application domains, we are hosting an activity recognition challenge for nurse care activities. The goal is to recognize among 6 activities commonly performed by nurses in hospital settings. Participants should follow the guidelines in the challenge webpage and submit a paper to the HASCA workshop describing the data sources selected, their preprocessing pipeline, the features used and their results. All submissions must follow the HASCA format (up to 10 pages).
