I also have two FOMUs with no bootloader as well.
I have ordered pogo pins (I have 3 different types, ~100 each) and have iterated a test jig to program them but didn't finish it since the enemy of the good is the perfect.
The good would have required me to solder the wires after inserting the pogo pins into the 3D printed jig.
The perfect was a multi-part jig that could let me insert pre-soldered pins into slots and then close the jig via another part.
This is the latest:
You're supposed to print both parts, insert the pins into the slots and then insert the cover to hold the pins in place.
It doesn't work correctly, yet, forgot the reason. It still needs work.
