Guidance Required for CPRS Auto Login Implementation with PIV / Entra ID Authentication

Hi,

I have set up the latest WorldVistA DAT file and am currently using the CPRS application in my development environment using Access Code and Verify Code login.

I need to implement CPRS auto login using PIV or Microsoft Entra ID (Intra ID) authentication instead of manual Access/Verify Code entry. I am new to this implementation and have tried to configure it, but I have not been able to get it working.

Could you please guide me from scratch on how to implement CPRS auto login with PIV / Entra ID authentication? It would be helpful if you could share:

• Required prerequisites and configurations

• Authentication setup steps for PIV / Entra ID

• How to integrate authentication with CPRS login

• Auto-login implementation approach

• Any sample configuration, documentation, or reference material

• Common troubleshooting steps

Your support would be greatly appreciated.

This is REALLY hard. You have to have a lot of infrastructure in place, and this is fairly in the enterprise game. Anybody who needs this should be paying a lot of money for it.

FWIW, I don't think people outside of the US Federal Government should opt for this approach. It's too expensive to implement.

I would agree with Sam that unless money is no object this is not the way to go. (if you're set on it feel free to shoot me an email since I do Oauth2 Entra a lot nowadays)

Please define and describe what auto login means to you?

PIV only and EntraID are coming soon to a VistA near you.
