Very good idea! I could try to contribute. I remeber the beginning with Joan Zimmerman (than in St. Louis).
Btw. at that timer there was a St. Louis based Mini-computer, used in Radiology, that had Mumps as operating system. Does anybody remeber it's name?

The most recent meeting of the MTA was September 27-29 1999 in San Diego (Hanalei Hotel).
Ed, do you remember the most recent MUG-Europe meeting? MUG Germany has been active since recently, two or three years ago.
Btw. MUG-Europe was founded before MUG-Germany, but I do not remember the years.
Best regards, also to Ion Diamond!

There is a website https://www.mumps.org/. But I get a firefox warning when I try to open it.
I think the first MUG-meeting was organized by Joan Zimmerman in St. Louis. And as far as I remember there was a second meeting there, organized by a radiological institution. A St. Louis based Mini-Computer had Mumps as language of the operating system. I will try to find my travel-reports of the early seventies. I tried not to miss the annual meetings and have been to many.
It is a good idea to cooperate for a Wikipedia Mumps-User-Group site. And I will try to get the data for MUG Europe and MUG-Germany as well.

This is Henry Heffernans answer. Thank you Henry! It is very helpful.
Btw.: I found out the name of the computer company in St. Louis that used Mumps as control-language for it's operating-system: Artronix. And the radiological department using it was the Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology. I visited them in 1977. The Reisebericht "Zum Mumps-Gebrauch in der Medizin" is on my website wgiere.de see 'Publikationen' and click 'Reiseberichte' (It is all German, sorry!)
Best regards
Wolfgang
PS: Does anybody know of Joan Zimmerman and what she did after Tandem?

Dear Henry, I hope you rember me. And I hope you are able to fill in some early MUG-meetings. I remember Joan Zimmerman organizing one in St. Louis and also a second one there sponsored by a radiological department and a computer company that used Mumps as control language for the operating system. But I could not find out the dates yet.
I sincerely hope you are well and still active as ever.
Very best regards and thank you in advance!
