Hello HamSCI - If you've been curious about the talks and speakers planned for March's event, you can now view the Workshop Agenda:  hamsci.org/hamsci-2026-program

Agendas tend to change slightly over time, so some edits may occur.

Poster abstracts and authors will be added to the agenda some time next week.  Following that, links to the full abstracts for talks and posters will be added to the Agenda.

Event details, including a Registration button, are on the main Workshop page:  hamsci.org/hamsci2026

Hello HamSCI - Here are a few Workshop updates, with the event now about 3 weeks away:

1) This year's Workshop is being dedicated to the memory of Paul Nicholson, G8LMD, as he was truly one of the greats in VLF work.  Hardware, software, education, Paul could do it all.  More details on the Workshop page, including the abstract for a memorial talk by Jonathan Rizzo, KC3EEY:  hamsci.org/hamsci2026

2) A listing of demonstrations (4) and posters (29) has been added to the agenda:  hamsci.org/hamsci-2026-program

3) Abstracts and author lists have been added for nearly all oral talks and posters: hamsci.org/hamsci-2026-program

Is there any online component for the workshop?

Yes.  From the web page about registration: "For those who don't plan to attend in person, a virtual option will be announced at a later date."  It will be free.

Hello HamSCI - The Workshop Committee has been toiling long hours preparing for next month's event.  (Ok, maybe that's an exaggeration, but we have been meeting regularly on Zoom and emails have been flying through the aetherspace).  The venue and catering folks has asked us to provide an in-person attendance figure at week's end, so..

Please register by this Friday, February 27th.  We expect to take down the Registration Form button soon after.
(The big blue Registration Form button is 2/3 of the way down on the hamsci.org/hamsci2026 page.)

HamSCI is pleased to announce our Saturday Banquet Keynote speaker:  Dr. Marc Kuchner, Astrophysicst and Citizen Science Officer for NASA's Science Mission Directorate

Marc's talk will have a somewhat unusual title for a science-focused workshop:  "How I Almost Went to Jail".

His abstract:  "Don’t do what I did. But I think science is just about the best possible reason for getting into trouble. I’ll tell you some stories of how I got hooked on scientific mischief and sharing the experience of scientific research with the world."

Workshop registration closes on Tuesday, March 3rd, 2359 UTC.

73 from the HamSCI Workshop Committee

P.S.  The Zoom login details, for those attending virtually, have been worked out.  A  Zoom registration button will be added at the top of the main Workshop page, and announced here, a few days prior to the Workshop.
