Construction notes from my magnetometer project

For the past several weeks, I've been in conversations with Gary AF8A on my magnetometer construction effort. I understand there are substantial changes planned for the magnetometer project, especially on the software end, so I thought this might be a good time to share my "homebrew" efforts based on the existing TAPR design and runMag software. 

I've also added a suggestion on how to align the magnetometer while in the field without relying on a two-person team. The concept is similar to the approach used by AREDN to point nodes for maximum signal strength. 

If anyone is interested in copies of the Word documents, let me know and I'll share a Dropbox link.
