RSGB Trophies Awarded to HamSCI Members

The Radio Society of Great Britain (RSGB), at its April, 2026 Annual General Meeting, continued its tradition of announcing the previous years' winners of the RSGB Trophies.
Two well known members of HamSCI were awarded trophies for 2025:
Gwyn Griffiths, G3ZIL: Wortley-Talbot Trophy - Awarded for the most outstanding experimental work in amateur radio. In particular, Gwynn was recognized for his RadCom article "Upper HF Openings at Night: One Effect of Traveling Ionospheric Disturbances”, which was based on material, and feedback, from his talk on the same topic at the HamSCI 2025 Workshop (Newark, NJ).
Carl Luetzelschwab, K9LA: Les Barclay Memorial Award - To recognize those who have made excellent contributions to propagation research and understanding, ranging from conducting original research, through to spreading knowledge about propagation and inspiring interest among amateurs, particularly citizen scientists.
Congratulations to Gwyn and Carl for earning this much deserved recognition by their peers!
